Drug and gun bust by Fall River Police Department nets 5 arrests

On Wednesday morning, a bust in Fall River resulted in the arrest of multiple individuals.

Police say the Patrol Bureau, Major Case Division, Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST), and Emergency Services Unit worked together in the early morning hours to successfully apply and carry out several search warrants for a property connected to 700 Second Street.

Due to a previously reported occurrence, an operation was started as part of an ongoing inquiry. Officers found a firearm, ammo, and a significant amount of illegal drugs as a result of the investigation and the searches that followed.

Ludugero Dias, age 20, Ashly Teixeira, age 26, Alajaiza Oliveira, age 23, Carlos Gomes, age 31, and Dylan Santos, age 20, were all taken into custody.

Following their arrest, the five were charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of class B firearms, possession of firearms without a FID, possession of large-capacity firearms, possession of large-capacity feeding devices, possession of ammunition without a FID, and trafficking fentanyl exceeding 10 grams.
