Fall River Police Department arrests city man on warrants, drugs, after recovering stolen vehicle

Following an investigation, Fall River Police made an arrest Thursday night.

Officers Jackson Tracy, David Claudio, and Matthew Camara of the Patrol Bureau reportedly went to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle close to the intersection of Lawton and Renaud Street. They learned more about a stolen white van from Albion Street while they were traveling.

When the authorities arrived on the scene, they verified that the suspicious vehicle was, in fact, the stolen van.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Billy Cordeiro, age 38. He was accused with illegally possessing cocaine and the stolen van after it was discovered that he had outstanding warrants.
