National Parks Service Announces No-Cost Days in 2024!

This year, there’s a bonus to the usual free entry days. The first of these days is in January, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. Colorado, home to thirteen national parks, sites, and monuments, offers a diverse range of experiences.

The full list of free entry days includes:

  1. January 15 – Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday
  2. April 20 – First Day of National Park Week
  3. June 19 – Juneteenth National Independence Day
  4. August 4 – Great Americans Outdoor Act Anniversary
  5. September 28 – National Public Lands Day
  6. November 11 – Veterans Day

Visitors are encouraged to check each location’s website for up-to-date information on seasonal hours, closures, and any reservation requirements. Note that some sites, like Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site, may have specific closed dates.
