Stafford County Sheriff Says Ohio Guy Caught After Automobile Chase, Tackled While Fleeing!

The situation began around 10:30 p.m. when a deputy spotted Wooding’s Toyota Sequoia on Garrisonville Road, conspicuous due to its lack of rear lights.
The attempt to initiate a routine traffic stop quickly escalated as Wooding executed a sudden U-turn, propelling the vehicle eastward at alarming speeds. Demonstrating reckless abandon, Wooding pushed the chase to dangerous limits, hitting speeds of nearly 85 mph. His desperate attempt to evade capture led him through a series of rapid maneuvers, turning onto Center Street and Barrett Heights Road, before hurtling towards Onville Road.
The pursuit’s intensity peaked when Wooding, attempting another U-turn at Worth Avenue, found his vehicle rammed by a deputy’s cruiser. Despite the collision, Wooding managed to continue, driving off-road through residential yards, showing a flagrant disregard for public and private property.
His flight led him to the fence of Garrison Woods, where he abandoned his vehicle and continued on foot. The chase reached its climax as deputies, having encircled the area, spotted Wooding running through the apartment complex. A tactical foot pursuit ensued, culminating in Wooding’s capture in the 300 block of Garrison Woods Drive, where he was tackled and arrested.
