Louis J. Grassa, 75, of Johnston, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by troopers for Reckless Driving First Offense shortly after 9:30 p.m., according to State Police.
A motor vehicle crash investigation involving a wrong-way driver on Route 6 in the City of Providence led to the arrest.
After receiving treatment at Providence Fire Department’s Rhode Island Hospital, Grassa was released with a summons to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
