Tesco Sends Warning to Clubcard Members: Four Weeks to Take Action
Tesco, the UK supermarket giant, has issued a four-week warning to customers holding Clubcard vouchers, urging them to spend £18 million ($22 Million) worth of vouchers before they expire at the end of February.
With more than 20 million people in the UK holding Tesco Clubcards, the warning emphasizes the need for Clubcard shoppers to utilize their accumulated points and discounts.
Clubcard Vouchers Issued in February 2022 Expire on February 29, 2024
The vouchers in question were issued in February 2022, and Tesco is reminding customers that they have until February 29, 2024, to redeem them.
As shoppers continue to accumulate points through their Clubcards, there is a risk that many may forget to use them before they expire.
Emma Botton, Tesco Group Customer Director, empathized with the ongoing pressure on household budgets and expressed the supermarket’s desire to assist customers in stretching their budgets further.
Botton emphasized that the reminder is particularly crucial as more than £125 million ($157 million) worth of new vouchers will be ready for use on February 5.
Customers can redeem these vouchers for their weekly grocery shopping or fuel purchases.
Additionally, Tesco offers the option to exchange Clubcard vouchers for 2x the value with over 100 Reward Partners, including popular brands like PizzaExpress, Alton Towers Resort, and Hotels.com.
Tesco’s Exclusive Offer
In a bid to further incentivize Clubcard holders, Tesco announced earlier this year that customers can collect double Clubcard points on their shopping until February 25.
This marks the first time in over a decade that Tesco has offered a double points event, benefiting over 20 million Tesco Clubcard members.
Tesco aims to support customers in managing their expenses; this reminder serves as a timely call to action for Clubcard holders to make the most of their accrued benefits before the end of the month.
