A man from Fall River is suspected of repeatedly colliding into a bank in Massachusetts and is now facing multiple charges.

Officers were called by a male operator who said that he had struck the TD Bank on Route 6A at around 3:30 a.m., according to the police.

When authorities arrived, a 38-year-old man named Kevin Coelho informed them he was there to check his balance but that after hitting the curb, he accidentally touched the gas.

Coelho purposefully rammed his car into the building multiple times before smashing through the front glass, according to the results of an investigation. He broke another glass door, crawled over the carnage, and entered the bank. The only person inside the car was Coelho.

Coehlo was arrested and charged with three counts of property damage and breaking and entering a depository.

Coelho is expected to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court today after being detained on $25,000 cash bail.
