Police in Venice responded to a disturbance complaint at the intersection of Fourth and Rose avenues early Friday morning, setting off a pursuit that resulted in the charges. The guy fled the scene in a white van after the police arrived, colliding with an LAPD patrol car on the way.

The pursuit, which began with officers, continued until it reached the 405 Freeway. AIR7 HD monitored the pursuit on the highway as the police officers failed miserably in their attempts to execute repeated high-speed PIT maneuvers.

Several patrol vehicles were following the motorist as he swerved and began driving in the other direction of the northbound lanes of the expressway.

On Friday morning, a man on a chase was apprehended after plunging into oncoming traffic and colliding with multiple vehicles on the 405 Freeway in Brentwood.

As he swerved around oncoming traffic, the guy continued driving erratically. Near Wilshire Boulevard, the pursuit came to a horrific end when the driver slammed into a cluster of cars and a large truck that had been pulled over by authorities.

Scrambling out of the van, the woman climbed onto the roof of the car. She was wearing a white tank top and her face looked like it was covered in blood. After that, she climbed upon the large rig’s hood and was subsequently apprehended.

The pursuit resulted in the damage of five police vehicles, two civilian cars, and a semi-truck, as reported by the prosecution. There were no major injuries.

Heflin faces a maximum term of twenty-two years and eight months in jail if found guilty as charged.
