A worrying development was the arrest of 33-year-old David Crowe, who is suspected of following Taylor Swift, for the third time in five days in the vicinity of the singer’s residence in New York City.

The latest incident occurred less than two hours after Crowe’s court appearance on stalking and harassment charges earlier in the day.

Crowe had been arraigned and granted supervised release during his court appearance, with the prosecutor’s request for an order of protection approved.

However, law enforcement sources revealed that Crowe was arrested again after 1:30 pm on charges of violating the order of protection. He was reportedly found going through a dumpster just steps from Swift’s home.

During his arrest, Crowe claimed he was searching for his pants that were thrown into the dumpster when they falsely arrested me. He also stated that he had no place to stay. Prosecutors allege that Crowe has visited Swift’s residence approximately 30 times in the past two months, despite being repeatedly asked to leave.

A worrying development was the arrest of 33-year-old David Crowe, who is suspected of following Taylor Swift, for the third time in five days in the vicinity of the singer’s residence in New York City.

The complaint against Crowe details instances where an unidentified security worker spotted him near Swift’s townhouse about 30 times since Nov. 25. Crowe was reportedly asked about 10 times not to approach the building or to leave.

Crowe, originally from Seattle, faces charges of stalking and harassment. He did not enter a plea during his court appearance and is being represented by an attorney from the public defender’s office.

This is not the first time Swift’s Manhattan townhouse has faced security threats. In 2022, a man was charged with trespassing and stalking after entering two Tribeca residences linked to Swift. The singer’s homes in Beverly Hills, California, and Watch Hill, Rhode Island, have also seen arrests of alleged stalkers.

Swift, who was not home during Monday’s incident, has experienced multiple break-ins at her residences over the years, prompting concerns about her safety. The recurrent nature of these incidents highlights the challenges celebrities like Taylor Swift face in maintaining their privacy and security.
