According to FDNY officials, the blaze drew a sizable contingent of firefighters to the scene, highlighting the severity of the situation. Video footage captured by witnesses depicted the intensity of the firefighting effort, with multiple fire trucks deployed to combat the flames.
Amid the chaos, several individuals were observed seeking refuge by hanging outside windows to escape the smoke-filled interior. Two individuals sustained serious injuries as a result of the fire and were transported to New York–Presbyterian Hospital for treatment by Hatzolah EMS. Additional victims were treated for smoke inhalation at local hospitals, emphasizing the widespread impact of the incident on building occupants.
